<br /> <br />Phone: 208-612-4000 www.cityofammon.us <br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF AMMON <br />PROCLAMATION <br />#2016-003 <br />DECLARING A WATER CONSERVATION ORDER <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on the 21 st day of April, 2016, the Mayor and City Council proclaimed <br />in accordance with the provision of City of Ammon City Code, Section 8-3-9, that a water <br />conservation order proclamation is reasonable and necessary in order to conserve and <br />provide efficient water service and water pressure to the City residents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this action will help protect public health, safety and welfare; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, I, Dana Kirkham, Mayor of the City of Ammon, Idaho, acting under <br />the power vested in me under Title 8, Chapter 3, Section 9 (8-3-9), of the Ammon City <br />Code, and any other applicable statutes and ordinances, do find that the <br />aforementioned conditions constitute a reasonable necessity and will protect the <br />health, safety and welfare of the City. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I, Dana Kirkham, Mayor, acting under the power vested in <br />me under City of Ammon City Code, Title 8, Chapter 3, Section 9 (8-3-9), and any other <br />applicable statutes and ordinances, do hereby proclaim and declare the City of Ammon, <br />Idaho, to be under a water conservation order and declare that the following rules <br />st <br />governing outside water use shall be in effect annually from May 1 through September <br />30 until further notice. <br /> <br />1.Outside water usage is limited to every other day. Water customers having <br /> <br />even numbered street addresses are limited to water usage on Monday, <br />Wednesday, and Friday. Water customers having odd numbered street <br />addresses are limited to water usage on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. <br />2.Persons having newly seeded, hydro-seeded lawns, or sod requiring <br /> <br />additional <br />be the allowances for persons applying for this permit: <br />A.3 times daily for the first 30 days of permit <br /> <br />B.1 time per day for the second 30 days of permit <br /> <br />C.Following the first 60 days the standard provisions under <br /> <br />paragraph 1 of this proclamation shall be followed. <br />3.Large areas listed below require considerable time to complete a watering <br /> <br />cycle and are exempt from this proclamation: <br />A.Churches <br /> <br />B.Schools <br /> <br />C. City Parks <br />4.Pursuant to the provisions of Title 8, Chapter 3, Section 45 (8-3-45), <br /> <br />violations and penalties of said chapter and this proclamation shall constitute <br />an infraction and shall be punishable by penalties set forth in Title 1, Chapter <br />4, Section 2 (1-4-2) of the Ammon City Code providing a maximum penalty of <br />$100.00 per violation. Until further notice, the following violation schedule <br />shall apply: <br />A.Warning on first offense; <br /> <br />B.$25.00 second offense; <br /> <br />C.$50.00 third offense; and <br /> <br />D.$100.00 fourth offense and each subsequent offense thereafter <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
