10.14.2020 Traffic Commission Minutes Minutes Ammon Traffic Commission Wednesday, October 14, 2020 – 9:15 a.m. Call to Order: Micah Austin, City Administrator Minutes: August 12, 2020: Approved Citizens’ Requests: Move the crosswalk at Tie Breaker/Match Point from the south side to the north side. After discussing it was decided to record the crosswalk as well as the entrance to Tie Breaker school. It will be an Action Item on the next agenda.. Put up a flashing STOP sign at the 3 way stop at Ross/Geneva-Discussed and all agreed it is not an issue. Possibility of adding a STOP sign on Ross/Geneva to control speeding through from Sunnyside to 17th- Discussed and all agreed it is not an issue. The existing conditions are working. Install STOP Ross/Brookfield and Ross/Marlene to help control speeds. STOP signs not used to control speeds. Discussed and agreed this is not an issue for the commission to address. 1830 Avocet would like speed limit signs installed- Additional speed limit sign on Avocet will be an Action Item on the next agenda. Road is caving in-This is a Street Dept. issue. Concerned about traffic lights and emergency vehicles – This issue is out of our control. 4081 Greenwood Circle concerned with visibility at John Adams/Holladay (Centennial Ranch)-T.Henze will measure the trees to make sure they are in compliance. If necessary responsible parties will be notified to trim them. Resident on Chartwell Gardens is concerned with speeding in Hawks Landing.-J.Clapp will put up a speed trailer on Boulder Creek. Street Division Updates: T. Bono and J. Clapp: Striping complete. Two thirds of the city has been swept. (Notification of sweeping)? Beneficial for public and the city. T. Bono will work with Bruce & Carol on GPS to start that process. Woodland Hills is progressing and on schedule. Road is starting to be built in the Villas. Barricades at John Adams/Curlew are up.
