Patio Homes: Greg Hansen, 5699 Veil Dr. stated there has been a large drop in the number of townhomes being sold. In the housing industry the price of homes are on the rise and many young families are not able to afford homes on larger lots. People are concerned about noise bothering the people next to them in townhomes, because of the common wall. With patio homes, there are no common walls. There would be the same number of houses per acre with patio homes, as there are now with townhomes. Patio homes would start at about 1100 sq. ft. on the main floor and go up. He recommends patio homes would only be allowed in the R-1A zone. He would like to change the side yards to 6 ft. minimum from the side of the lot and 5 to 6 ft. minimum on the side next to the other house on the lot. If there is a townhouse already on the side of the property being built upon, then the patio home would still have an 8 ft. side yard on that side. 2. Misc.: Various items were briefly discussed.
