Robert Taylor led the Pledge of Allegiance. Members Present: Quinn Simmons, Chairman Tom Hunsaker Cindy Donovan Rick Butler Robert Taylor Scott Wessel Steve Richards Members Absent: Greg Maeser Kurt Roland City Officials Present: Ron Folsom, Planning Director Lance Bates, Engineer Gay Leming, Deputy Clerk MINUTES: January 5, 2010 Robert Taylor motioned to accept the minutes, as presented. Rick Butler seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None ACTION ITEMS: None P&Z Minutes 02-02-11 Page 1 of 2 DISCUSSION ITEMS: 1. Wind Turbines: The Commission would like to wait for Gary Siepert to come in and talk to them about the wind turbines. Commissioner Robert Taylor motioned to table the wind turbines, until Gary could be at the meeting. Commissioner Scott Wessel seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed. 2. Comprehensive Plan Draft: Ron stated there was nothing new on the comprehensive plan. Ron would like to have a hearing by May, on the plan, after the census data comes in and the map is drawn. REPORTS: 1. City Council Actions: Ron reported on what has happened in Council for the month of January. Lance reported on the progress of the SCADA Building and the benefits of having this building. 2. City of Idaho Falls Planning and Zoning Actions – Cindy Donovan reported that the Idaho Falls Planning & Zoning Commission is basically operating in the same mode as we are – their recent meetings have been spent on planning. 3. Bonneville County Planning and Zoning Actions – Tom Hunsaker reported on three items outside of the Ammon impact area, with the rest of the County meeting spent on planning. Ron asked the Commission to think about allowing patio homes. He has been asked by 3 different individual people on this subject. This change would allow a narrower, for example 6 foot side yard, instead of an 8 foot side yard. It could be included in the R1-A zone and would be allowed in lieu of the zero lot line. CALL FOR ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Scott Wessel motioned to adjourn. Commissioner Robert Taylor seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed.
