REPORTS: 1.City Council Actions 2.City of Idaho Falls Planning and Zoning Actions – Cindy Donovan 3.Bonneville County Planning and Zoning Actions – Tom Hunsaker Call for Adjournment: MINUTES The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tom Hunsaker at 7:05 p.m. at the City Building at 2135 S Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho. Commissioner Scott Wessel led the Pledge of Allegiance. Members Present: Tom Hunsaker Cindy Donavan Rick Butler Greg Maeser Scott Wessel Russell Slack Steve Richards Kurt Roland (arrived 7:30 p.m.) Robert Taylor City Officials Present: Ron Folsom, Planning Director Lance Bates, Engineer Gay Leming, Deputy Clerk Absent Members: Quinn Simmons INTRODUCTION OF NEW MEMBERS: Chairman Tom Hunsaker welcomed Robert Taylor and Kurt Rowland. MINUTES: September 2, 2009: Commissioner Greg Maeser motioned to accept the minutes with minor grammatical changes. Commissioner Russell Slack seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed. PUBLIC HEARINGS: None 10-07-2009 Planning and Zoning Minutes Page 1 of 2 ACTION ITEMS: th 1. 2727 E 14 N: Ron stated that a site plan was submitted for this piece of property. He has advised the owner that he will need to do asphalt or concrete. Landscaping will be required. In the industrial area, they allow river rock in the landscaping, since many do not have a water source for this use. This property is located near Majestic Auto. Bill Morgan, 2708 E Lincoln Rd. explained that Mr. Bergman the property owner has no intention of storing anything outside of the building; he only wants a place to put his cars in, so they won’t be vandalized anymore. Commissioner Russell Slack motioned to approve the site plan, as presented, subject to technical review from staff. Commissioner Cindy Donavan seconded the motion. All in favor – the motion passed. DISCUSSION ITEMS: 1. Misc.: None REPORTS: 1. City Council Actions: Ron updated the Commission on the items City Council had in September. The Council had public comment on the water pressure in Quail Ridge. The Council has renewed the contract for the police with the County. They will be housed in Ammon and vehicles will show Ammon. There will be one officer dedicated on every shift to the City of Ammon who will enforce City ordinances. The City of Ammon went to Idaho Falls and offered $125,000 for the landscaping on the eastside of Hitt Road, but Idaho Falls refused the money. On th September 17, the Council talked about having a Lighting District in all new subdivisions for the street lights, so the property owners will pay for the street lights instead of the City. Dennis Kiser came to Council and pulled his annexation request, since he didn’t want to dedicate property right-of-way to the City. Lance updated the Commission on the water and sewer projects. 2. City of Idaho Falls Planning and Zoning Actions: Cindy Donavan stated there was nothing to report. 3. Bonneville County Planning and Zoning Actions: Tom Hunsaker stated there was nothing to report.
