I.Pledge of Allegiance: Russell Slack II.Public Hearings: None III.Action Items: A.Farmer’s Market Request – Shelley Yorgenson – Ammon Park Center B.Farmer’s Market Request – Liberty Square – 2475 S Ammon Road IV.Call for Adjournment: MINUTES Members Present: Tom Hunsaker, Chairman Cindy Donovan Rick Butler Quinn Simmons Scott Wessel Steve Richards Russell Slack City Officials Present: Ron Folsom, Planning Director Absent: Greg Maeser The meeting was called to order by Chairman Tom Hunsaker at 7:05 p.m. in the City Building at 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho. Russell Slack led the Pledge of Allegiance. MINUTES: None PUBLIC HEARINGS: None ACTION ITEMS: A. Farmers Marker Request – Shelley Yorgenson – Ammon Park Center: Ron discussed the guidelines of what the policy is for. The drawings show twenty parking spaces, which is more than they would need. This was figured by square footage not by how many booths there are. The Farmers Market parking will be completely paved. All vendors will be required to get a vendors license and the owner of the Farmers Market will need a business license. Staff will do an inspection on the parking lots and through the season there will be spot inspections for the right amount of parking that is needed and business licenses. There will be some electricity for booths and Jane will stipulate how many outlets can be used and what size cord. The hours shall not be before 7:00 am and after 8:00 pm. There are to be no used items allowed. Russell Slack motioned to approve the Farmers Market for Shelley Yorgenson at the Ammon Park Center following technical review by staff including the review on the driveway entrance. Cindy Donavan seconded. All in favor the motion passed. B. Farmers Market Request – Southern Parking Lot at Liberty Square: Ron explained where they would like to place the booths and they will have parking on the North side of the building. Steve Richards motioned to approve the Farmers Market at Liberty Square with the understanding that should the owner determine the Southern parking can accommodate both booths and parking, as long as the parking area is physically separated from the vending area, this will also be allowed and subject to technical review from staff.
