CITY OF AMMON PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION May 4,1999 Minutes of the Public Hearing and Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission: The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chairman Ron Folsom at 6:30 p.m. in the City Building at 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho. MEMBERS PRESENT Ron Folsom, Vice Chairman Tom Hunsaker Dick Bybee Karen Anderson Randy Waite Elaine McGary Kevin Murray Greg Maeser MEMBERS NOT PRESENT Maxine Hardy CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT Bill Manwill, City Engineer Aleen C. Jensen, City Clerk David Wadsworth, Public Works Ira Hall, City Councilman Deon Cole Brad Pickett Jay Johnson OTHERS PRESENT Garth Cunningham Karen Anderson led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Karen Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting held April 6, 1999, as it was written with clarification of 2 changes to the C-I Zone and to the cul-de-sac zone. The motion was seconded by Dick Bybee. Voting was unanimous in favor. The motion carried. There was no report from the Bonneville County Planning and Zoning Commission. Councilman Ira K. Hall reported on the action taken by the City Council. They approved the Preliminary Plat on Flying Eagle Ranch Div. No.1. There was discussion about the sewer in connection with the City of Idaho Falls, on the north end of the city. They also discussed the pressure of the sewer from east of railroad tracks down to where it needs to hook in at the end of the Karford property. Discussions were made on how they would do the sewer north of 17th Street and east of railroad tracks. It was also discussed about Owen Street going into city property and they had an offer to bring it partway into the school property. Ira explained that the City council opted not to do that. He said that they were going to bring it to the school property and then go from there. Karen Anderson wanted to know what the purpose was to bring it partway in. Ira explained that it was to hook on to an expanded parking area on west side of school which the school is going to put in and they agreed we could bring it out to hook onto their parking lot but no further. The discussion was that if the city did that that maybe there would be an enhancement for the school to bring it the rest of the way through or that it would relieve enough pinch on
