CITY OF AMMON PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION June 2, 1998 Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kevin Murray at 6:35 P.M. in the City Building at 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho. MEMBERS PRESENT: Kevin Murray, Chairman Greg Maeser Ron Folsom, Vice Chairman Elaine McGary Kirt Hillam Karen Anderson Randy Waite Maxine Hardy MEMBERS NOT PRESENT: Dick Bybee . Garth Cunningham Phyllis A. Ker Gwen Monson Tim Kaser Bill Manwill Bruce Ard, Mayor David E. Benton, City Engineer Barbara J. Ellis, Deputy Clerk OTHERS PRESENT: Paul & Merrilee Ricks Mark O. Duncan Steve Smith Musette Butler CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Ira Hall, City Council Rep. David Wadsworth, Public Works Kirt Hillam led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The first item discussed on the agenda was Mark O. Duncan - request for sideyard variance. Mr. Duncan explained that he is requesting a variance so he can build a 14-foot garage onto his house at 3775 Geneva. A IO-foot garage is not wide enough to accommodate his car. Two of his neighbors have been granted variances for the same purpose. After discussion of Commission members, Ron Folsom moved to recommend to the City Council approval of a variance for Mark Duncan. This would allow a 4-foot sideyard and space to build a 14-foot garage. Greg Maeser seconded the motion and it passed with the unanimous approval of the commiSSion.
