Planning Minutes 10/07/1997 e: e~ e- CITY OF AMMON PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION October 7, 1997 Minutes of the Regular Meeting ofthe Planning and Zoning Commission: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kevin Murray at 6:30 P.M. in the City Building, 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho. MEMBERS PRESENT: Kevin Murray, Chairman Dick Bybee Russell Bennion, Vice Chairman Elaine McGary Greg Maeser Kirt Hillam Randy Waite Ron Folsom Maxine Hardy CITY OFFICIALS PRESENT: Barbara J. Ellis, Deputy Clerk David Wadsworth, Public Works Bruce Ard, Mayor Ira Hall, Councilmember David E. Benton, City Engineer OTHERS PRESENT: Jeff & Claudia Clark Wayne Farmer Kerrie Obray Jolene Reeder Jim Turnbull Darwin & Glenda Judy Richard R. Dare John LoPiccolo Jay Johnson Alan Obray Steve & Lesli Mortensen Candy Turnbull Bob Stahn Kermit Ulstad Maxine Hardy led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. The minutes of the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting held September 2, 1997 were presented for approval. Kevin Murray moved to approve the Sept. 2, 1997 minutes as written without change and asked for a vote of the Commission members. The voting was unanimous in favor. The motion carried. At 6:40 P.M., Chairman Kevin Murray opened the Public Hearing to consider Jay and Mark Johnson's request for annexation with initial zoning of RPA for 14.68 acres of property south of East Sunnyside Road and south and adjacent to the Felt Waite Addition. Notice of Hearing was published in the Post Register on Sept. 22 and Sept. 25, 1997. Property owners within three hundred feet (300') were mailed notices of the hearing. Chairman Murray swore in parties interested in presenting testimony. Engineer David E. Benton declared a conflict of interest and stated that he was representing the developer
