11.09.2022 Traffic Commission MinutesMinutes Traffic Commission Wednesday, November 9, 2022 Call to Order: Micah Austin, City Administrator, at 9:09 a.m. In Attendance: Micah Austin, Cindy Donovan, Sgt. Kyle Fielding, Clarissa Mueller, Tony Black Excused: Tracy Bono (due to a business meeting) Minutes: October 12, 2022-Approved Citizens’ Requests: Derek Whipple would like to know if stop signs at Northwind/Indian Hollow, Blue Grass/Indian Hollow and Pearce could be changed to yield signs? - No change will be made. C. Donovan will get back with D. Whipple Street Division Updates: Traffic Signals and Hawk Signal-T. Bono is trying to get grant money to help with costs to replace the backing plates for the traffic signals. The backing plates are in and installation is scheduled with Arco Electric for the Hawk Signal. Horrock’s traffic studies for Eagle/Derrald and 1-way streets for Eagle/Salmon-T. Bono just received the data and will send it to Horrocks. Action Items: No Parking signs on the east side of Church St.-Signs are already in place. C. Donovan will let them know that no changes will be made. No parking zone on Derrald Ave. It would match Brianne and Eagle in this area. A discussion took place and all agreed it is causing a traffic issue. A motion to put No Parking signs on streets off of 25th East (Hitt Rd) going east at every access point was made. Motion passed Discussion Items: Frontier/Eagles Homestead-Line of sight issue-Spruces on Eagle Homestead Dr are causing a traffic sight issue. It meets code. It is not an Enforcement or a Traffic Commission issue. T. Black from the Street dept. will check on it. M. Austin suggested reaching out to Parks. Updates on Ammon Rd- Putting a temporary 2” overlay down and it will be tabbed. Discussed weight limits. Talk with T. Bono about making it a no commercial traffic road. Derrald/Eagle-4 way stop and Horrocks traffic study discussion. Both will be action items next month. White Pine traffic-C. Donovan reached out to them. It is still an issue. She will stay in touch with them. Cars cannot block driveways. It is against the law. All agreed deputies issuing tickets would help. M. Austin-The Mayor said biking and pedestrian striping is a priority. T. Black will look into it. Adjourned at 10:02
