Ammon Foothill - Study_Floodplain Study Update 3.25.22 Phone: 208 359-5353 343 E 4th N, Suite 117, Rexburg Idaho 83440-6003 www.grwei.com Memorandum To: Tracy Bono, P.E., City of Ammon Engineer and Floodplain Administrator Nate Meikle, BCP Development, Inc. From: Gerald R Williams, P.E. Date: March 21, 2022 Re: Addendum to the Floodplain Assessment and Flood Mitigation Concepts for the Flagship Homes Annexation Application dated August 6, 2021 Since our original report last August, the developers have made a few modifications to the Flagship Homes master plan layout. They “added some additional property types (e.g., apartments), and changed a few roads. That said, the total unit count for the entire development is expected to be the same.” The question may come up as to whether our August 2021 report is still valid or needs to be updated. The answer is that it is still valid because our memorandum pertains to floodwaters generated upland from the development rather than on the development, so shifting density from one location to another, while it may impact local stormwater design, has no impact on our floodplain assessment and mitigation. What we proposed before as flood mitigation concepts remain unchanged.
