Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Mayor and City Council:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Councilman Harvey Crandall with
the invocation being offered by Councilman Greg J. Maeser.
Councilman Greg J. Maeser moved to approve the minutes of City Council Meeting held
February 4, 1993, with a correction in spelling in the third from the last.
paragraph of tract to track. The motion was seconded by Councilman Harvey
Crandall. Roll call vote was: Maeser - Yes; Crandall - Yes; Anderson - Yes. The
motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Ard reviewed the status of the Ammon Road Reconstruction Proj ect No. STP-
M-7436 (001) . The bid was awarded to H-K Contractors of Idaho Falls. Mayor Ard
stated that the waste site owned by Mr. Bird has a problem to be worked out by H-
K Contractors. Engineer David Benton stated that H-K had access to other waste
sites if they needed such. Councilman Anderson stated he had been informed that
because of the hazardous waste which had been dumped into Mr. Bird's site in the
past, no buildings could be constructed on it in the future.
Mayor Ard informed the Council of the installation of a safety door in the City
Building shop area per requirements of the Department of Labor and Industrial
Services.

Ross Avenue,to sell medical information cards and tags was approved by the Council
with Councilman Harvey Crandall moving to approve the permit. Councilman Greg
Maeser seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Crandall - Yes; Maeser - Yes; Ander-
son - Yes. The motion carried unanimously.
The First Amended Plat of Aimee Ann Estates, which is a Bonneville County Plat in
which said property lies within Ammon's Impact Area, was presented to the Council.
Engineer Benton explained the difference between the original and the amended plat
which was changed to 17 lots, all approximately one (1) acre each in size and laid
out in more uniform configuration. He further explained that Ammon only needed
to approve the street and drainage layout. The zoning is RA-I. Councilman Maeser
expressed concern over the possibility of manufactured housing being put in that
area. Mr. Benton stated it would be necessary to rezone in that case. Mayor Ard
called for a motion. Councilman Crandall motioned to approve the First Amended
Plat of Aimee Ann Estates in regard to the street and drainage layout. Councilman
Maeser seconded the motion. Roll call vote as follows: Crandall - Yes; Maeser -
Yes; Anderson - Yes. The voting was unanimous. The motion carried.
The LDS Church located on Central Avenue requested to be allowed to park vertically
on the Central Street side of the building, stating better use of the land. This
would put them within the City's right-of-way. The Mayor called for a motion.
Councilman Greg Maeser motioned to allow temporary vertical parking, subj ect to I
the striping to be approved by the City. Councilman Crandall seconded the motion.
Roll call voting as follows: Maeser - Yes; Crandall - Yes; Anderson - Yes. The
motion carried unanimously.
Reports: David Wadsworth reported for the Public Works Department. The grader
is again in operation. He supplied the Mayor and Council with brochures on a
combination lawn mower/snow blower. Also the new "Entering Ammon" sign was
displayed for all to see.
Engineer Benton stated H-K had begun the Ammon Road Proj ect with test holes to
determine necessary depth. He also displayed a plat for Tie Breaker Division No.
8 to be presented at the next Planning and Zoning Meeting.
Claims were approved.
