October 15, 1992
Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Mayor and City Council:
The meeting was called to order

Scout Logan Hall was welcomed, and he introduced himself. He explained that he
was working to complete a merit badge on citzenship in the community.
Chairman Ron Folsom reported for the Planning and Zoning Commission. Regarding
the development by Custom Construction of Lots 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 of Block
2, Westwood Division No.1, the Commission agreed with the City Council to
eliminate the requirement for a frontage road along Ammon Road. (Refer to City
Council minutes of October 1, 1992, and Planning and Zoning Commission minutes
of October 6, 1992.) Billboard sign requirements were discussed. The City of
Idaho Falls is in the process of revising their sign ordinance, and it was
recommended that the City of Ammon review the revisions being proposed by Idaho
Falls before taking any action.
Mayor Ard discussed the progress of the Ammon Road proj ect. The right-of-way
acquisition offers have been submitted to the State Transportation Department
for approval. One committee has given their approval, and the offers are pending
review and approval by the second committee.
Lennis Tirrell has asked the City Council to complete action on his request for
rezone to C-l of his property on the northeast corner of the intersection of
Ammon Road and East Sunnyside Road which was tabled on October 17, 1991. The
Council agreed to consider the rezone at their meeting on November 5, 1992.

Councilman Maeser reported on attendance at the second Association of Idaho
Cities legislative committee meeting held in Boise on October 15, 1992. (Meeting
was same day as Council meeting, but Councilman Maeser drove back in time for
this meeting.) The committee is working on legislative priorities which concern
Idaho cities.
The City Clerk requested approval of the draft for the annual newsletter to be
mailed to residents with their city services coupon book. No newsletter changes
were recommended. Claims were approved.
Bonneville County Sheriff's police dog attacked an officer during training at
an officer's home on Ross Avenue. Neighbors are concerned about potential
danger. Bonneville County is handling the matter, but Mayor Ard advised the
neighbors who witnessed the attack to complete an incident report to be filed
in the City of Ammon office.
First Security Bank has prepared investment information for the City of Ammon.
Mayor Ard requested Councilman Crandall to review the proposal for future
discussion.

Anderson moved to approve the minutes of City Council Meeting held
1992, as written. The motion was seconded by Councilman Maeser. Roll
Anderson - Yes; Maeser - Yes; Crandall - Yes. The motion carried

Councilman Crandall moved to adjourn the meeting, and Councilman Maeser seconded
the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
