CITY OF AMMON
September 13, 2001
Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Mayor and the City Council:
The meeting was called to order by Mayor C. Bruce Ard at 6:30 P.M. in the City
Building, 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho, with the following City
Officials present:
Mayor C. Bruce Ard
Council member Harvey L. Crandall
Councilmember Leslie Folsom
Councilmember Ira K. Hall
City Clerk Aleen C. Jensen
Absent: Councilmember W. Lee Bean
Councilmember Crandall moved that the City of Ammon join with the nation in
observing Friday, September 14, as a National Day of Prayer and
Remembrance for the Terrorist Attack on America. Councilmember Folsom
seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Crandall - Yes; Folsom - Yes; Hall - Yes.
The motion carried.
Council member Crandall moved to proclaim a general election to be held for the
City of Ammon on Tuesday, November 6, 2001, at which time there will be
elected a Mayor and two (2) Council Members to serve for a term of four (4)
years. Councilmember Folsom seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Crandall-
Yes; Folsom - Yes; Hall- Yes. The motion carried.
Councilmember Crandall moved to designate the polling place for the election
as the Ammon City Building, 2135 South Ammon Road, Ammon, Idaho, and to
set the hours the poll will be open as 8:00 AM. to 8:00 P.M. Councilmember
Folsom seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Crandall - Yes; Folsom - Yes; Hall
- Yes. The motion carried.
Councilmember Folsom moved to adopt Resolution 2001-05, A RESOLUTION
PROCLAIMING A GENERAL CITY ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 6, 2001; DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACE; DESIGNATING
THE REGISTRAR AND DEPUTY REGISTRARS; AND ORDERING THE CITY
CLERK TO GIVE NOTICE OF SUCH ELECTION. Council member Crandall
seconded the motion. Roll call vote: Folsom - Yes; Crandall - Yes; Hall - Yes.
The motion carried.
Mayor Ard and Council member Folsom had a telephone conversation with Marty
Frantz regarding Palisades Park utility billing. The issue has been resolved.

Councilmember Folsom called attention to the fact that Pheasant Estates has
been billed at the apartment rate for water and sewer. They should be billed at
the condominium rates.
Council member Crandall moved to adjourn the meeting, and Councilmember
Hall seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 P. M.
