Council Minutes 05/25/1970 I 2:3~Y A pblicy for handling Building Permits was made as follows: A Building Permit must be filed, fee paid, drawing or blueprints left for examination, and Mayor's signature obtained before construction can begin. The general penalty is $100 or 30 days. Only the Mayor needs to review permits unless for large buildings or projects. In regard to how long Building Permits are valid, Councilman Turnbow moved that construction must be started within six months of the date of issuance or a new permit will be required, including payment of another fee. Councilman Richardson seconded the motion. Voting: Turnbow, yes; Anderson, yes; Swensen, yes; Richardson, yes. Motion carried. Councilman Richardson asked about having the sewer study reviewed by the State and County planning agencies, reported on the Library renewal contract with the City of Idaho Falls, and read the agreement between the County Fire Department and the City of Ammon regarding the new tanker truck that is being housed here. With regard to a final salary check for the services of Jesse Bunnell, Council- man Richardson moved that we pay all money due JesseBunnell to the end of March. Councilman Turnbow seconded the motion. Voting: All in favor. L" c..o The water hook-up for Daniel Hill on Aspen Lane was approved with the con- :": dition that Mr. Hill first pay the $90.00 hook-up fee and $20.00 for patching :::::: the street. ::c c:o I I Other business included a decision to have Keith Brown kept on to do accounting work until the end of June, and filling our reservations for attending the con- vention of the Associated Idaho Cities to be held in Couer d'Alene June 18-20. Councilman Swensen moved that the meeting adjourn at 11: 58 P. M. Meeting adjourned. Monthly claims were reviewed and approved. Harold Loveland, land owner in Peterson Park, was present and presented his offer of land to City of Ammon: 534. 54 feet running east and west, 435.01 feet running north and south, on Virginia Dr. and Geneva Dr. --5. 383 acres of land..- proposal attached hereto. Over in Hillview west of Falcon Dr., /p... W. Brunt offers City of Ammon 2110105: at $1600.00 each for a park. That at the present does not include the land behind the lots over to the Sand Creek bank. This totals $33, 000. 00 for between 4 and 5 acres.,. The City is offered 200 to 300 yards crushed 1-1/2 and 3/4 inch gravel from Ready to Pour Cement Co. by S1allld Creek on Sunnyside Road at 80 cents a yard. Water Brothers offered to hauhand lay and grade gravel where wanted in City of Ammon at $1. 15 a yard. (All around McCowin Park.) This will run approxi- mately $600.00.
