CITY OF AMMON
MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF AMMON, BONNEVILLE COUNTY, IDAHO
October 21, 1968
The Mayor and Council of the City of Ammon, Bonneville County,
Idaho, met in a regular session at the City Hall in the City of Ammon,
on October 21, 1968, at 8:00 o'clock p.m. Mayor Mel Richardson
presided at the meeting and the meeting was opened with prayer by
Councilman Turnbow. There was present upon roll call, the following.
Mel Richardson, Mayor
George Wehman, Councilman
Roy Southwick, Councilman
Keith Turnbow, Councilman
Leo Heer, Councilman (arrived at 10:20 p.m.)
Absent - None
Also present were Jesse Bunnell, W. J. Anderson, attorney,
David Benton, engineer, Franklin Ricks, Police Chief and vern
Williams, maintenance.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
Councilman Turnbow presented a report of the "Ammon Days"
celebration and stated that the City had made a profit of $
exclusive of that profit earned by the Lions Club.
Mayor Richardson requested the City Attorney to call him con-
cerning the procedure to follow in codification and compilation of
the City of Ammon ordinances. Councilman Wehman was to provide the
other Council members with a copy of the Idaho Falls Code so that
they could review and compare provisions therein with the desired
ordinances to be compiled for the City of Ammon.
Councilman Southwick stated that Richard W~emer on Samuel
Street had asked whether or not a LID District could be formed to put
in curbs and gutters on Samuel Street. The Mayor requested that
Councilman Southwick determine if there was sufficient ineerest by all
residents in that area to consider the formation of an LID.
Mayor requested Councilman Southwick to 'meet and negotiate with
the school district officials of School District 93 concerning the
water and hookups for the newly planted school grounds.
Mr. Benton, City Engineer, stated that there was a used Essex
Roller available for $1,200.00 for use in patching streets. No
action was taken.
The Mayor encouraged the Councilmen to compile a list of pDojects
and accomplishments they wished to present for action for the coming
fiscal year, 1969.
Councilman Turnbow reported that he and auditor, Al Hall, would
have the figures compiled to present a report on 7the fifual billing
for the city park in the near future.
Mayor Richardson stated that Mr. Mismer from the State of Idaho
Department of Parks was very pleased with the park and the swimming
pool project.
The resolution adopted at the meeting of September 30, 1968,
being a special meeting of the Council, was reviewed and the minutes of
said meeting, together with said resolution, weEe read and approved
and the said resolution was ratified by ~he affirmative vote of all of
the councilmen present with no negative votes.

The Mayor requested 'Councilman Southwick to notify Fr~d Kvarfordt
and Wayne Peterson that as of November 1 the city would turnoff the
connection to thw well in the addition of said Fred Kvarfordt and Wayne
Peter~on and would have the disconnection continue throughout the
winter.
