Minutee of the regulan month;J meeting of the Mayor and Council of the City
of Ammon held in the Council chambers February 19, 1969. _ Miletin convened
at g P M. Mayor Richardson presided and conducted. paayer was offered
by Councilman Southwick.

Present wel!e Mayor Richardson, Councilmen Wehmann. Heer. Southwick and
Turnbow, City attorney Joe Anderson, City engineer David Benton, City
Clerk Jesse E. Bunnell, Auditor Alvin Hall and Layern Willctams.
Mayor Richardson spened the discussion on the coming bond election on
the sewer issue. The Council discussed the various plans for the sewer.
Mayor Richardson stated he felt that the Council should- set a date ffor
the bond election.
Councilman Wehmann made a motion that an election be held on the sewer
issue based upon plan 1. Motion wae seconded by Councilman Turnbow.
The Dlerk was directed to call for a vote. which he did, and Council-
man Wehmann, Councilman Heer and Councilman Turnbow voted t1Aye".
Councilman Southwick voted "Naytl. The motion carried.
The date for the bond election was set for April 23, 1969 at the City
building. The proposed budget was checked over carefully by the Mayor
and Council. The Budget meitting was set for March 19. 1969. Councilinan
Heer gave the report on law enforcement wirhin the City for the fnonth,,'
of January. He stated that the City of Idaho FAlls was considering
making a contract wirh Ammon for uee of their library facilities. He
stated that Idaho Falls was considering setting u~ a Bookmobile in a
matter of about 2 years. Councilman Heer stated he thought he could
negotiate a contract for about $800 for the balance of this year.
The Council discussed the problem of repairing streets within the City.
The sandblaeting and painting of Peterson park well house was dilscussed
and it was felt by the Mayor and Council that this whould be done soon.
Minutes of the last regular Council meeting were read and approved.
The monthty bills were approved for payment.
Mayor Richardson declared the meeting adjourned at 11:45 PM.
