Ammon City Council meeting held Nar. 13,1967. Meeting called ,.to order by
Mayor Mel Richardson at 8:10 P.M'-
Prayer by C. Roy Southwick. Those present: Mayor Mel Richardson, C. Roy
Southwick,Geo Wehman~, Keith Brown,and Leo Heer- Att. Joe Anderson and City
Engineer Dave Benton.

Att. Joe Anderson reported the proposed budget for 1967 had been published
Notices Ilave been posted and the budget hearing has been set for Mar. 27-
1967 at:.8 oclock in the City building.
Also L.I.D. # 3 on' BRookfield Lane has been advertised for bids. Bid open
ings to be Mar. 21,1967 at 4 oclock in the City building. City Engineer Dave
Benton will be present with City Clerk Dermont E. Ricks for the opening.
Engineer Dave Benton revie1-Ted the type of bridges and culvert planned for
Brookfield Lane.
Offiver Strain reported that James Croston and Levi Clement are in violation
of the City Ordinance by making junk yards of their property on Western Ave.
They will be required to clean up before ~~y 1, 1967.

C. Leo Heer made a motion the City Council accept the report of Officer
Strain con~erning the abanded cars on James Crostons property,that the cars
be impounded and removed from the City, seconded by C.Roy Southwick motion
carried.
Att. Joe Anderson will notify Levi Clement by letter to move his truck off
the street and clean up his property before ~~y 1 -1967. He will also notify
Monte Howell the City reauests he pay his water bill to date or water will be
discontinued.

Mayor Richardson said he had talked to Jay Painter County Road Supervisor
about widening the bridge on Ammon read and 26th st. Mr, Painters comment
T,'as the county j s abligated to pay their share didn't kn01-T 1-That per cent
the City of Ammon would be expected to pay but would discuss the matter with
the county commisioners.

C. Roy Southwick ;,'as asked to investigate the possibl"i ty of a traffic check
and road survey on Ammon Road.
Dave Benton and City Council discussed plans for the proposed swimming pool.
the;necessities of a study of the woter system.
Maintance man Lavern Hilliams was asked to turn the Peterson Park well off
and make some checks on water pressure.
The Mayor stated Lewis Ross contacted him in regard to the annual civil
defense dues and ~he advantages of being a member. The Mayor suggested the
City support the civil defense and flood control program,also the 4th of
July celebration and plan on furishing a float for the parade.
Mayor Richardson checked on inventory for Police Department -City Office-
Fire Department-and -city shop -inventory for shop and fire dep. are not
complete to date but will be forth coming.
C. Geo W~ehmann reported the county health department and county commission
ers are working on the location of a sanitory land fill for garbage disposal.
c. Leo Heer made a comparison report on city law enforcement and the progress
that is being made.

C. Geo Wehmann stated he hasnot l"eceived any word from Karl Goble rating
engineer from Boise as to fire rating for the city of Ammon.
Claims were approved and signed.
