Regular Monthly Meeting of the Ammon City Council
November 11, 1963
Meeting called to order by Mayor Reed Molen.
Prayer by Councilman Darrell Long.
Present: Mayor Reed Molen; Councilmen Roland Romrell, Harold Loveland,
Darrell Long, George Wehmann; and City Clerk Dermont Ricks. Attorney
Joe Anderson excused.

Minutes of October meeting were read and approved.

Financial report for October 1963 read.
A letter from Idaho Falls was read in answer to the one sent by
Councilman Wehmann asking about renting their street sweeper. This
was refused on grounds that the City would have to assume insurance
and workman's compensation coverage.
A letter from Attorney Anderson to Dan Hoopes was read - letter
included with the minutes.
Attorney Anderson advised the City on re-run of municipal election.
It was suggested that news items be sent to the Post-Register for publi-
cation.
Ballots for November 5, 1963, election were opened and count checked
by Attorney Anderson as follows:

John Schwantes, City Engineer; made a report on his tests and
observations on the new Brunt building project in Hillsdale Addition.
He suggested the City adopt some standards such as Shelley now has in
force with a few exceptions. He was asked to make the necessary cor-
rections and present them to the Council at the December meeting.
Mr. Schwantes prepared a new pI" of the McCowin Park. This was
presented to the Council for approval and adoption. Councilman Darrell
Long made a motion the City accept the new plans for the Park. Motion
was seconded by Councilman Roland Romrell and it carried.

The Mayor asked for the Council approval of a re-runon the City
MUnicipal election which was held November 5, 1963, because the voters
were misinformed as to the procedure of voting for councilmen. All
voted for but Councilman Harold Loveland.
Claims were approved and signed.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
