Regular monthly meeting of Ammon City Council
January 6, 1963
Meeting called to order at 7:35 p.m. by Mayor Reed Molen.
Prayer by Councilman Harold Loveland.

Those present: Mayor Reed Molen, Councilmen Roland Romrell, Harold Loveland,
DeVon Hammer, Darrell Long; W. Joe Anderson, City Attorney; Dermont E. Ricks,
City Clerk.
Minutes of the previous meeting read and a~roved.
Ed Milton met wi. th the City Council to dlscuss obtaining a permit to build a
horse barn on the property he leased along little San d Creek. The Mayor
read a petition objecting to the building, signed by the neighbors. The
neighbors met with the Council. Attorney Joe Anderson explained the restricted
covenants or property owner's responsibility - not the City'S.

John SchwantEBask-ed that their company represent the City as surveyors.
He suggested the City plot the City Park property and the lot where the City
buildlng is to be built. Mr. Schantp W$ asked to bring a COPY' of a sug-
gested contract and the CouncilllOUld consider it.
Councilman Roland Romrell made a motion that the City accept 1&le Buttar's
resignation. Councilman Darrell Long seconded the motion am it carried.
Councilman DeVon Hammer made a motion the City hire Richard Ager as City
Marshall. Councilman Harold Loveland seconded the motion and it carried.

George Wehmann was asking for some protection at night- when spraying the
skating rinks and was given a red light and badge, and appointed City deputy.
Richard Ager asked about parking cars on the streets in Hillview, and
was instructed to issue a ticket for street parking. Dick also asked if he
-.s bonded and was told he was protected by a blanket policy.
Claims were approved and signed.
The City Council infonned the Clerk to deduct water and hookup bill
frClll Sterling Cannon's bill and to notify him that he will be expected to
pay his water bill each month or his water wlll be shut off.
Meeting adjourned at 10: 15 p.m.
