City of Anunon
Special Meeting
April 16, 1962
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Reed Molen.
A motion wa~ made by Councilman Harold Loveland that a four inch water main
be run from 26th Street and Anunon Road to the boundery of the Shurtliff property
on the Annnon Road; including two fire hyd~nt5 at the corner of 26th and
Ammon Road and at the property line of Johnstons and Jones..
Contract to be awarded to Hartwell Excavation Co. on a time and material
basis. The motion was seconded by Councilman Roland Romrell and passed by
the Council.
A report was made by John Schwantis about the pumps needed on Teton, Avocet
and Curlew; the drain at Avocet was off 6.S4 acres and at 6urlew 6.Sg acres.
It wa s recommended that a 7! H. P. pump that would pump about 1700 gallons
per minute in both places be used. The pumps inplace at this time pump
under 300 gallons per minute.
Mr. John Schwantis will make up a letter on the specifications of the pump
on Curlew and deliver it to Boyd Thomas, City Attorney.
Dermont Ricks is to contact Elaine Brower or some other secretary to type
up the minutes from the time the City first became a City in the new book,
with the changes to be made from the word village to city and the
board to council, and refer to each council member as councilman.
