City of Ammon
Special Meeting May 9, 1961
Council Members present were Harold Loveland - Darrell Long _ DeVon Hammer _
and Roland Romrell,
others present were Arnold 'f,ITEidswo:r"t.h - ,Vaughn ~"adsworth - LaVern Williams _
and Lynn Sanders.
The Board met:.to discuss the water system on the Arnold Wadsworth property.
A motion was made by Councilman Harold Loveland for ,the City to furnish
a reducer and shut off valve and Arnold wadsworth will furnish a 4 incn pipe
nmning from Sunnyside road south approxiamately 1240 feet and then
run a 2! inch line last approxiamately 600 feet. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Darrell Long and it was passed by the Board.
Ordinance # 52 was read by Councilman Darrell Long pertaning to the chang-
ing of the statu80fftl1e-'mntlicipality from a Village to a City of 2nd class.
Councilman Darrell Long made the motion that ordinance # 52 be accepted as
as read and that the first two readings be waived by the Board. The motion
was seconded by Councilman Devon Hammer and passed by the Board.
Ordinance # 53 was read by Councilman Darrell Long, which pertained to
the increase in water rates. Ordinance # 53 was accepted'by the Council
with the following exception : That the phrase, All water users should be
charged $4.00 (four) per month to read: All water users should be charged
$4.00 (four) per month with certain exceptions as qualified by Board
action. The motion was made by Councilman DeVon Hammer and seconded by
Councilman Harold Loveland and passed by the Board.
The Council flipped to determine who would run for four years and who would
run for two years. Councilman DeVon Hammer, and Councilman Harold Lovelamd
will run for four years and Councilman Darrell Long and Coucilman Roland ROlIl1"!8ll
will run for two hears.
A motion was made by Councilman Darrell Long to give Wallace Wadsworth
the' Okay to pave Meadow Lane. Councilman Harold Loveland seconded the
motion and was passed by the Board.
A motion was made by Councilman Harold Loveland that the thirty (30) foot
buffer zone along 17th street in the Bluesky addition be designated in written
form as to the type and nature of the buffer zone and who sha;l,l maintain
the property - the type of landscaping to be approyed by the City Council.
The motion was seconded by Counilman Darrell Long and the motion was passed
by the Board.
The zoning committee has zoned the Arnold Wadsworth property &-1.
