He referred to a letter stating that, beginning April 1, 1982, Ammon will be billed a monthly fee of $50 by the City of Idaho Falls for fire dispatch service, and the other Council members agreed that a reply would be in order explaining that funds to pay this fee are not in the budget for Fiscal Year 1982 but will be budgeted for next year inasmuch as this is a service which is received and appreciated. Council- man Williamson noted that he had talked to Captain Hutchens of the Sheriff Department about law enforcement matters such as parking regulations and the Ammon uniform citation books. A report by Public Works Director Hayse Whiteley listed spring clean-up days on the I Saturdays of May 8, ~ay 15, and May 22. Mr. Whiteley presented in- formation on the relative cost and expected lifetime of gas, propane, and diesel trucks in anticipation of planning to call for bids on a new garbage truck in the fall. He re- ported that the City has started hauling gravel from the County pit as authorized follow- ing the delivery of a check for the County Road and Bridge Department on the 17th Street payment as explained in the previous meeting.
