Wednesday, July 14, 2021
Call to Order: 9:07 a.m. by Micah Austin, City Administrator
Minutes: June 9, 2021- Approved
Citizens’ Requests:
Flashing Stop sign or speed bump at Ross/Geneva – No.
Stop sign and speed bumps on Hollow- No.
Street Division Updates: T. Bono – Rawson Project was started on Monday, 7/12/2021. Weed control measures are ongoing.
Action Items:
Speed limit signs on Dry Creek. – 25 mph Speed Limit Signs at entrances of Dry Creek/Crowley, 49th/Thunder, Millcreek/49th. Motion carried.
Speed limit signs in the Tawzer area. – M. Stewart, will research the standards.
Data collection on Salmon St. regarding the traffic problem on Eagle Dr.-There is a very large amount of traffic. More data from Salmon St. will be gathered. Discussion ensued. In favor
of a blocking off the bridge to see how that works and then revaluating it. Discuss with the Fire Dept. how they feel about a temporary closure. This issue needs brought to Council
with a recommendation. Action Item and a recommendation for Council in August.
Data collection at Ross/Geneva.- Traffic was steady all day. On Ross more don’t stop than do. Discussed taking out the Stop signs on Ross. It shouldn’t be there in the first place.
Motion carried. T. Bono will get it removed.
Updates:
Stop sign on west side of Cross/Hollow-It will get taken care of.
Electronic speed sign on Judy- Not yet.
Discussion Items:
No safety candle at 1st St. bridge anymore. It will be replaced. T. Bono is working with LHTAC concerning the bridge.
Aspen Street signage -Action Item for August.
Signs throughout the city need updated and corrected.
