Approval of Contractor for Sunnyside and Ammon Traffic Signal Installation

Recommendation
-Staff recommends approving HK Contractors to construct Sunnyside and Ammon Traffic Signal.
Summary of Analysis
1.The project will install traffic signal lights for this intersection.
2.According to state statute, the Request for Proposal (RFP) was advertised on February 27 and
March 13, 2019 with March 25 at 10:00 am the deadline for all responses
3.Based on the following criteria, Staff recommends awarding HK Contractors the contract for the
project:
a.Low Bid
Financial Impact
Will use the grant money we received from LHTAC. The bid is higher than the grant amount but
we have money left over from the Maverick fund to help cover the extra cost.
Motion
approve HK Contractors to construct Sunnyside and Ammon Traffic Signal in the amount of
$714,161.54

Meter Installation project.
