Mayor Ard opened the meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the City Office Building located at 2135 South Ammon Road.
ACTION ITEMS:
1.Local Option Support Petition (Ray):
Council asked Councilmember Ellis what this commits them to.
Councilmember Ellis explained that it gives the Council options but it isn’t mandatory. AIC is trying to get support. Idaho Falls
and Bonneville County have supported it.
Councilmember Kirkham motioned to sign the Local Option Support Petition. Councilmember Ellis seconded. Roll
call vote: Councilmember Kirkham – Yes, Councilmember Ellis – Yes, Councilmember Bean – Yes, Councilmember Waite –
Yes, Councilmember Thompson – Yes, and Councilmember Powell – Yes. The motion passed.
DISCUSSION ITEMS:
1. Executive Session – Idaho Code 67-2345 Subsection 1(f) – Pending Litigation:
Councilmember Bean
motioned to enter executive session pursuant to provision of Idaho Code 67-2345, Subsection 1 (f). Councilmember Powell
seconded. Roll call vote: Councilmember Bean – Yes, Councilmember Powell – Yes, Councilmember Waite – Yes,
Councilmember Thompson – Yes, Councilmember Ellis – Yes, and Councilmember Kirkham – Yes. The motion passed.
The meeting adjourned into executive session at 5:46 p.m.
