Council Minutes 06/26/1972 J' 1 :.,,/ ..~ TO AL RESIDENTS OF AMMON June 26, 1972 FROM HE CITY COUNCIL ABOUT THE PROPOSED WATER AND SEWER PROJECT re all aware of the problems facing us in Ammon with regard to water and se o not have enough water to supply our basic needs during the summer Even with a rationing program the pressure is low, and in some areas ost impossible to get enough water for a bath. The city wells do not supply ough water and the pipelines are also too small. t of us who have been here for some time have had septic tank and/or Many of us have now used all of the land available for seepage pits and/or drain fields. If there is another failure, what then? Our city wel s are located at various places in the city and could become contaminated tremendous amount of sewage we dump into the ground each day. Should. rground water become contaminated, our problems will have only begun. Mayor and Council have thoroughly investigated what might be done, the costs, vernment assistance, etc. and believe that the following proposal is a and one that we can afford. .....A
