Minutes of a Special meeting of the Ammon City Council rpld May 17, 1967
at the Junior High school auditorium. Meeting began at ':00 p m.
Mayor Richardson prsided and conducted. The purpose rK of the meeting
was to discuss the Bill Brunt proposal for a multiple family or multiple
unit hbQsing pro jest which would be eligible for subsidized rent under
the FHA regulated program. 0

Present were Mayor Richa dson Councilman Wehmann. Southwick. Heer and
Brown Bill Brunt Mr TYre FHA estate Director and about 85 citizens
and members of various organizations City departments and members of
school district 93.

Mayor Richardson introduced Mr TYre, who explained the program in general
terms and then Mr. Brunt who very briefly explained the construction
~lans. The meeting was then opened to questions from those present,
the questions being directed at Mr. TYre, Mr Brunt, Mayor Richardson
and Councilmen where applicable. The questions were answered to the
satisfaction of those in attendance. A ccncensus of opinion of the
audience was re~uested and was 100,% against the proposal of Mr
Brunt building the proposed housing projeet~ Mayor Richardson asked
for and iiKKI received a motion ffom the council. C. GeoEge Wehmann
made a motion that the request of Mr. Brunt on the above mentioned
and discussed project be denied. Fhe motion was seconded by C. Roy
Southwick. A vote was called for from the Colimcilmen and all voted
in favor of the motion made by C. Wehmann.
The meeting adjourned at 11:26 ~ M.
