<br />I <br /> <br />l~ <br />c..o <br />ct: <br />........ <br />- <br />::.c <br />co <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />1 0 -,1 <br /> <br />Regular Monthly Meeting of Ammon City Council held October 12, 1964. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Reed Molen at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Prayer was given by Councilman Harold Loveland.. <br /> <br />Those present were Mayor Reed Molen, Councilmen Harold Loveland, George <br />Wehmann, Keith Brown andDon Miller; Attorney Joe AMerson and Clerk Dermont <br />Ricks. Minutes or the meeting held September 14 and the special meeting <br />held September 28, 1964, were read and. approved. <br /> <br />Rex Budge, member or the City Planning Board met with the City Council <br />and reported that members or the Planning Board are not attending the meetings. <br />The last three meetings have been short or a quorum, whichms been a waste <br />or time as far as the business was concerned. <br /> <br />The Clerk was asked to contact each member of the Planning Board and <br />encourage them to pu,t forth an effort to attend their meetings, and. to call <br />a Planning Board meeting as soon as possible. <br /> <br />George Wehmann made a motion the Clerk call Bill Brunt and Dave <br />Benton and ask them to supply an approved plat for the developaent that is <br />now in process on Falcon Drive south of the intersection of the West end. <br />of Sawtooth. Secrmaed by Cormo1lman Keith Brown and the motion cArried. <br /> <br />Demont Ricks was asked to contact E. W. Bateman and remind him of <br />his agreement with the City to blacktop the South side of Samuel Street <br />before he sells his house and lot there. Water is to be turned off until <br />work is completed. The City Clerk was also asked to hire men to survey the <br />streets inHilview Addition and prepare them for some seal coating. <br /> <br />Councilman George W;hmann wants a written agreement with Roland Romrell <br />for the part of the builaing he is now renting from the City. He.madea <br />motion that Roland. T. Romrell be notified that his lease on the building <br />will be berminated November 15, 1964. Discussion was held but motion <br />was not seconded. Roland. T. Romrell agreed to move out within 30 to 60 <br />days . <br /> <br />Discussion was held regarding parking on the streets in Hillview. It <br />was decided by the Council to carry on as has been done in the past. The <br />clerk is to order new traffic signs. <br /> <br />Richard Ricks met with the City Council f_. an underst.a.Diing as to <br />where he stands on the road right-of-way jo1.JdDg' his property in the Arnold <br />Wadsworth Addition. He was informed that heddid not have to impose or pay <br />any additional cost for the new existing road. <br /> <br />A plat of the McCowin Park was presented to the City Cosmcil by the <br />Mayor for approval of the streets and right-of-ways. Council George Wehmazm <br />made a motion the City accept all streets and right-ot-ways in the McCowin <br />Park, seconded by Councilman Keith Brown, motion passed. <br /> <br />The City council approved a ten year lease for property belonging to <br />Bill Brunt, located between Seventh Street and Falcon Drive, to be used <br />tor a City Park at a cost ot $1.00 per year plus taxes. <br /> <br />The City Clerk is to contact Utah Power and Light Company tor listings <br />ot residences in ADmon tor water billing purposes.... also to hire two <br />women to take C81SUS ot the City of Ammon. <br /> <br />Bishop Elmer Holmgren lIl8t with the City Council to try to solve the <br />school bus parking problems on the streets ot Ammon. Atter a lengthy dis- <br />cussion be asked tor a little t_ to work things out. <br /> <br />Claims were signed and approved. A quarterly financial statement <br />prepared by Mr. IJ.oyd 'nitum was reviewed by the CouneU.. <br /> <br />Meeting adjoured at 11:45 P.M. <br /> <br />$~~ <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
