January 2.2, 1975
Minutes of the regular meeting of the Mayor and City Council.
The meeting was called to order by Council President Russell N. Swensen at
7:55 P. M. with the following City Officials present:

Councilman Marvin J. Anderson Engineer David E. Benton
Councilman Brent Hirschi

Attorney Anderson read Interim Appropriation Ordinance No. 123. Councilman
Cheney moved to waive three readings and put Ordinance No. 123 on its final
reading. The motion was seconded by Councilman Anderson; voting was all in
Javor; motion carried. Ordinance No. 123 was read again by title. Councilman
Hirschi moved to approve the Ordinance on its third and final reading by title
only. The motion was seconded by Councilman Cheney; voting was ::Ill in favor;
motion carried.
A resolution to approve Interim Warrant No. 13 for payment of claims on the
Water and Sewer Project was read by Attorney Anderson. Councilman Anderson
Anderson moved to accept the resolution. Voting was Anderson,. yes; Cheney,
yes; Hirschi, yes; Swensen, yes; motion carried.
Engineer Benton informed the Council that notices of the continuation of the Assess-
ment Roll Hearing to February 5, 1975, have been sent to property owners in
Local Improvement District No.6, along with the requested fact sheets. He
reported that Well No.5 is operating efficiently now that the special clay valves
have been installed and adjusted.
Councilman Hirschi mentioned that maintenance work is needed on the part of
Falcon Drive which was not paved last fall. .

It was reported that the radio has been ordered for the ,new fire truck and word
has been received that the fire truck will not be delivered until at least March
because of the chassis not being ready.
Attendance was encouraged by Councilman Swensen by, City Officials at a meeting
on energy problems being sponsored by the League of Women Voters on Feb. 5
at the Westbank Motel, 2 to 10 P. M. He also urged that the Coun-cilm<<:ln should
pick up the AIC Legislative News Bulletin each week and keep up with the business
of the Legislature.
Information received recently on the Flood Plain Insurance Program was re-
viewed, and it was noted that an ordinance identifying flood plain areas is re-
quired as soon as maps are updated and made available. Coverage under this
insurance is to be on new building and new mortgages for which the financing is
involved with a government agency.
Claims were approved for payment. Councilman Cheney moved to adjourn at
8: 45 P. M.
